Main function of the role: leading the nursing team in assessing patient health problems and implementing appropriate care plans, administering of care and maintenance of medical records.

Main duties of the role:

  1. Always behave in a professional and discreet manner in line with the NMC code.
  2. Maintain GDPR of all documents, knowledge an information obtained as per the role.
  3. Deliver patient focused care whilst assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivered to patients.
  4. Active participation within the MDT.
  5. Engage in effective medicines management.
  6. Ability to prioritise workloads and patient care.
  7. Visible leadership of the nursing team.
  8. Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff.
  9. Maintain health and safety for all.
  10. Engage in ongoing personal professional development and maintain all relevant mandatory training.
  11. Contribute to effective resource management.
  12. Actively engage in quality improvements, service development and implementation of relevant strategies.
  13. Undertake reasonable task requested by line manager or above.

Person Specification:

  • NMC Registered nurse RMN, 2 years post registration
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • Demonstrated a positive attitude and commitment to, change, improvement, and quality.
  • Flexible and innovative at problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written communication.
  • IT system skills
  • Effective organisational skills
