Job description – ASSISTAT MANAGER – HOUSE KEEPING
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Manager to join our team. The property is situated in magnificent scenery in Shrewsbury where the hotel and restaurant combine traditional charm within comfort of an original 19th-century building. The hotel offers modern bedrooms including, suites, spa facilities and function room for up to 150 guests.
Skills Required
- A proven track record in a housekeeping team.
- Ability to develop and manage a housekeeping team to deliver set standards within the department.
- The ability to understand, manage and operate the hotels Risk-Management platform.
- The ability to manage costs, productivity and profitability whilst maintaining set standards.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation and creativity.
- Demonstrate effective administration skills.
- To understand and use the employee training platform: Flow Training.
- Ability to motivate, lead and support the housekeeping team.
- Ability to manage challenging situations / conflict in a calm and effective manner.
- Ability to delegate and empower other team members to work effectively.
- Ability to uphold policies, procedures and code of conduct as provided by the company.
- The ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus should be at the heart of all tasks.
- Ability to train and coach team members to their full potential.
- The ability to correct and manage underperformance, where observed, through the adoption of a progressive, disciplined approach. (i.e. Lateness, absenteeism, poor performance) following the Group Employee Handbook guidance.
