Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, skilled, and customer-focused Spa Therapist to join our luxury hotel’s wellness team in Mauritius. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of spa treatments, ensuring the highest standards of service, and creating a memorable, relaxing experience for our valued guests.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of spa treatments including:
- Massages (Swedish, deep tissue, relaxation, etc.)
- Body therapies (scrubs, wraps, detox treatments)
- Facials using professional skincare products
- Manicure and pedicure services
- Waxing and other beauty services
- Ensure all treatments are carried out professionally, hygienically, and in accordance with hotel and spa standards.
- Assess guest needs and recommend appropriate treatments to enhance their well-being.
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanour with all guests.
- Keep treatment rooms and equipment clean, sanitized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Promote spa services and retail products when appropriate.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to deliver an exceptional spa experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Certified Spa Therapist or equivalent qualification in massage/beauty therapy.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or spa environment preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of various spa treatments, techniques, and wellness practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering outstanding guest service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Professional appearance, grooming, and conduct in line with hotel standards.

Terms & Conditions of Employment
- Accommodation: Free accommodation within the hotel premises (all utility charges covered by the hotel).
- Meals: Provided daily in the staff canteen (Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and Dinner).
- Uniforms: Supplied by the hotel.
- Laundry: Free laundry services for uniforms only.
- Leave & Rest: One day off per week.
- Salary: MUR 15,000 per month.
- Banking: Employees must open a bank account in Mauritius upon arrival.
- Policies: All employees must strictly adhere to hotel policies. Management reserves the right to take disciplinary action in cases of gross misconduct.
