Position Overview
A leading luxury hotel in Mauritius is seeking 2 Spa Therapist Interns to join its Health & Wellness Centre. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a luxury hospitality environment while delivering exceptional wellness and spa services to our valued guests.
As a Spa Therapist Intern, you will train & assist in providing a wide range of treatments while ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver a variety of spa treatments including:
- Massages (Swedish, deep tissue, relaxation, etc.)
- Body therapies (scrubs, wraps, detox treatments)
- Facials using professional skincare products
- Manicure and pedicure services
- Waxing and other beauty services
- Ensure treatments meet hotel and spa standards of quality and hygiene.
- Assess guest needs and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Maintain a warm, professional, and welcoming demeanour.
- Keep treatment rooms and equipment clean, sanitized, and well-stocked.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Promote spa services and retail products when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to deliver a memorable spa experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Certified Spa Therapist or equivalent qualification in massage/beauty therapy.
- Experience in a luxury hotel or spa environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of spa treatments, techniques, and wellness practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and conduct in line with hotel standards.

Terms & Conditions of Employment
- Accommodation: Free, within the hotel premises (all utilities covered).
- Meals: Provided daily in the staff canteen (Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner).
- Uniforms: Supplied by the hotel.
- Laundry: Free laundry services for uniforms only.
- Leave & Rest: One day off per week.
- Salary: MUR 15,000 per month.
- Banking: Intern must open a bank account in Mauritius upon arrival.
- Policies: Strict adherence to hotel policies is required. Management reserves the right to take disciplinary action in cases of gross misconduct.
