This well-known boutique hotel group based near Cirencester is recruiting for a hands on Sous Chef to join their kitchen team and work with and support the Head Chef.
The operation consists of an award winning restaurant serving menus with a modern twist of French and British food using all fresh and local produce and also caters to events and weddings for approximately 200 guests in the main function room as well other meeting rooms across the hotel.
The Sous Chef will deputise for the Head Chef and as part of the management team work to ensure a consistent quality within the food and also ensure all food safety and will be working with the kitchen brigade in a hands on role and to assist, support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be able to ensure a consistent quality of food, also you will be working to ensure a 5-star rating on the next inspection working with the head chef and kitchen team to achieve this.
Also work consistently towards the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.
Reporting direct to the Head Chef and when required attend HOD and daily team meetings etc.
