We are currently looking to recruit six Independent Working Chefs to join our team.

Working Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: Amsterdam area

Salary: €2,505 – €3,200 gross per month (excluding holiday pay and gratuities)
Salary is negotiable based on experience -
Employment Conditions: In line with the Hospitality CAO (Collective Labour Agreement)
Key Responsibilities

Carrying out preparatory kitchen work such as washing, cutting, pre-cooking, mixing, and stirring
-
Assessing the quality and freshness of ingredients and ensuring correct storage and shelf life

Preparing dishes and continuously monitoring quality, taste, colour, texture, and doneness

Making adjustments where required to meet quality standards

Preparing orders à la minute, including portioning and garnishing
-
Supervising and guiding kitchen assistants where applicable
-
Ensuring strict compliance with hygiene, safety, health regulations, and HACCP standards

Maintaining presentation and work methods in line with the restaurant’s identity
Training & Learning

Willingness to learn Indian cooking techniques and styles

Training provided in:

Indian curry preparation

Cooking with the Indian tandoor

Requirements
-
Education Level: MBO Level 3 (work and thinking level)

Strong sense of quality and attention to detail
-
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

Quick recovery from setbacks and ability to continue working efficiently

High standards of personal hygiene and food safety

Hands-on mentality with the ability to work fast and in an organised manner

Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts in consultation
