Eligibility Criteria for UK-Trained Doctors
1. Junior Doctors / House Officers / SHOs / Registrars
- Must be qualified and have completed FY1 & FY2 in the UK or Ireland.
- Annual Salary: NZD $78,000 – $150,000
- PGY1–2: NZD $70,000 – $85,000
- House Officers / Interns: NZD $76,000 – $157,000
- Registrars: NZD $110,000 – $180,000
- Salaries depend on experience, specialty, hours, and location.

2. Consultants (CCT Holders – UK / Ireland)
Specialties in Demand:
Psychiatry • Anaesthetics • Radiology • General & Internal Medicine • ICU • Gastroenterology • Oncology
- Must hold CCT in specialty area.
- Annual Salary Range: NZD $150,000 – $300,000+
- Public Hospitals: Base ~NZD $160,000 (Total ~NZD $200,000 – $300,000)
- Private Practice: Can exceed NZD $500,000
- Includes generous benefits – 30 days annual leave, 10 days CME leave, NZD $16,000 CME allowance.

3. Senior Registrars / Medical Officers
- Doctors currently working as Specialty Doctors in the UK with 6+ years’ experience.
- Main Areas of Need: Psychiatry, General Medicine, Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Rural Hospital Medicine, ICU.
- Salary Range: NZD $110,000 – $180,000 + allowances.
- Average SMO Package: ~NZD $343,500 (including base salary, allowances, CME, and superannuation).
4. General Practitioners (GPs)
- Must have CCT in General Practice (UK).
- Options available for fixed salary roles, sessional work, or practice ownership.
- Annual Earnings: NZD $180,000 – $250,000 (average ~NZD $220,000–$240,000).
- Higher earnings potential for GPs purchasing into a clinic.
- Benefits include relocation support, medical indemnity, annual leave, and professional registration coverage.
