Job Overview
RSR Global is recruiting an experienced and proactive Assistant Human Resources Manager for an exclusive leisure park in Devon.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of day-to-day human resources operations across the organisation. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, training coordination, workforce planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR Manager with the implementation of HR policies, procedures and people strategies.
- Manage recruitment activities, including job advertising, candidate screening, interview coordination and applicant communication.
- Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, induction documents and HR correspondence.
- Coordinate onboarding, reference checks, right-to-work verification and new-starter inductions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HR and payroll systems.
- Provide guidance to employees and line managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee-relations matters, including attendance, conduct, grievances, disciplinary procedures and performance concerns.
- Monitor probationary periods and ensure reviews are completed within the required timescales.
- Assist with absence management, return-to-work meetings and occupational health referrals.
- Coordinate staff training, mandatory compliance training and professional-development activities.
- Support performance-management and employee-development processes.
- Assist with employee engagement, retention and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain holiday, sickness, attendance and working-time records.
- Provide accurate employee information for payroll processing, including new starters, leavers, overtime, absences and contractual changes.
- Prepare HR reports and management information as required.
- Support seasonal recruitment and workforce-planning activities.
- Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, UK employment practices and data-protection requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and organisational information.
- Undertake additional HR duties as reasonably required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a human resources, people operations or HR administration role.
- Practical experience in recruitment, onboarding and employee administration.
- Good knowledge of UK employment practices and HR procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
- Professional, approachable and solutions-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team.
Desirable Requirements
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
- Previous HR experience within hospitality, leisure, tourism, hotels, resorts or a seasonal business.
- Experience supporting employee-relations cases.
- Experience with payroll preparation and HR reporting.
- Familiarity with high-volume or seasonal recruitment.
- Knowledge of employee engagement and staff-retention initiatives.
