Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care in line with hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate medical documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and patient assessments.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and patient safety.
- Provide emotional support, guidance, and education to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- BSc Nursing, OR
- GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) Diploma
Experience Requirements
- 1–2 years clinical experience for General Ward positions
- 3–4 years experience preferred for specialised departments:
- ICU
- Emergency
- Operation Theatre
- Critical Care
Licensing Requirements
- Valid Indian Nursing Council Registration
- Mauritius Nursing Council Registration
(Temporary registration will be arranged by the employer)
Language Requirements
- English: Mandatory
- French: Advantageous but not mandatory
Required Documents
Candidates will be required to submit the following documents during the recruitment process:
- Updated CV in English
- Valid Passport (minimum 3 years validity preferred)
- Nursing Degree / Diploma Certificates
- Nursing Registration Certificate
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Certificate of Good Standing from Nursing Council
Work Permit & Visa
- 2-Year Occupation Permit / Work Permit provided by employer
- Visa issued prior to travel and converted to work permit upon arrival in Mauritius
- Medical fitness certificate required as per Mauritian Ministry of Health regulations
Employment Benefits
Salary
MUR 28,000 – 35,000 per month
