PROCESS & PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Job Title: Process & Production Technician

Responsible to: Shift Manager

Purpose of the role:

Reporting into the Shift Manager the Process & Production Technician will work collaboratively as part of a team operating and maintaining the production line, performing allotted tasks to meet targets and standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and replenish stock levels on a regular basis, ensuring relevant stock levels for the evening shift
  • Support site efficiencies
  • Responsible for the replenishment of all macros
  • Support Assembly and tub internal transfers
  • Stock accuracies including documentation and paperwork completion
  • Feed and official placement of raw materials
  • Liaise with Team Leaders and Site Management across the site
  • Good level of attention to detail as the work requires a high standard around accuracy and quality / quantity checks.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures when operating machinery or FLT’s, especially in regard to Health & Safety, work instructions, and quality procedures and standards.
  • To work as part of a production / operational team to manufacture products, adhering to H&S, work order sheets and comply with feed quality and quality guidelines
  • To ensure that your designated work station/ area is clean and tidy during and at the end of your shift, complying with the required clean as you go policy.
  • Ensure that the relevant PPE / RPE is worn at all times.
  • Take Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of yourself, others & activities within your areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns you become aware of, outside your areas of responsibility, with relevant managers.

Essential Criteria:

  • Good communication skills
  • Current Reach and Counterbalance Licence
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the business
  • Performance driven
  • Sound knowledge of the H&S key characteristics of the plant
  • Experienced in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
  • Have a positive and flexible approach to the role
  • Ability to work using own initiative when required but should be a keen team player

Site Targets:

Work collaboratively with site team to achieve the following Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets: –

  • Health & Safety – 95%
  • OTD & Throughputs – 98%
  • Quality (NC & Complaints) per 1000T – 2
  • Housekeeping / 5S – 80%
  • Absenteeism – 3%
