Kitchen Assistant Chef (CDP)
Rate of Pay: –
- £26500 – £27000

Accommodation can be provided: –
- Single en-suite rooms available (communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities – £50 per week rent, all bills included).
- Double en-suite rooms available for ‘couples’ (communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities – £40 each per week rent, all bills included).
- The staff Block has recently been refurbished and is in good condition.
Duties: –
- Buffet preparation (i.e. cold buffet items, cheeses, cold meats, coleslaw etc).
- All of our services (e.g. breakfast, lunch and evening meal) are buffet service e.g. NOT a cook to order/ticket-line kitchen.
- Helping the head chef i.e. they will give you a list of jobs for the shift, such as; finishing off/decorating of desserts, slicing meats for the buffet and evening meal, prepping food for the next day etc.
- Seeing in deliveries & stock rotation.
- Assisting other Kitchen staff as required.
- Chance of progression (for candidates who are capable and willing to progress) to other duties (such as Breakfast Chef duties etc), with any increased responsibility would come an increase in pay.
Hours: –
- FULL-TIME – Shift Work. Normal working week will be 5 days, although 4-6 may be required depending on hotel occupancy.
- Due to the nature of the job it will include regular weekend shifts as well as midweek, and some evenings (standard shifts are: 7.30am-3.00, 1.00pm-9.30pm). There would be some split shifts e.g. 7.30am-3.00pm followed by 6.00pm or 7.00pm start working until finish (9.00pm/9.30pm).
Person Specification: –
- Fast worker – essential, as we cater for large numbers when the hotels are busy.
- Looking for an honest, hardworking individual.
- Looking for someone who works hygienically and keeps a clean work area.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
