Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Assistant Dean – College of Medicine to join the senior academic leadership team. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Assistant Dean will play a pivotal role in curriculum development, academic operations, faculty leadership, accreditation compliance, and student success initiatives.

The role requires a seasoned academic leader with a strong background in medical education, proven teaching and research credentials, and prior academic administrative experience.


Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Oversight

  • Design, review, and continuously improve the MBBS/MD curriculum to align with HPCZ standards and global medical education benchmarks.
  • Ensure effective integration of basic sciences, clinical skills, and research methodology in the program.
  • Oversee the implementation of modern teaching methodologies and digital learning platforms.

Faculty Management & Development

  • Support faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation, and retention strategies.
  • Promote faculty research, scholarly publications, and professional development opportunities.

Accreditation & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with HEA, HPCZ, and other relevant accreditation bodies.
  • Coordinate documentation and reporting required for periodic accreditation and quality audits.

Student Success & Welfare

  • Oversee student academic progress tracking, advising, and remediation programs.
  • Support initiatives to enhance student well-being, engagement, and professionalism.

Research & Innovation

  • Encourage faculty and student participation in research projects.
  • Facilitate partnerships with hospitals, research institutions, and NGOs for collaborative projects.

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Assist in budget planning, resource allocation, and policy development.
  • Represent the College of Medicine in internal committees, community outreach, and official functions when delegated by the Dean.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD, any specialization – Anatomy / Physiology / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Microbiology / Pathology).
  • Academic rank of Associate Professor or above.
  • 10–15 years of teaching experience in a recognized medical institution.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of academic administrative leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, accreditation processes, and policy development.

Preferred:

  • Proven clinical practice and patient care experience.
  • Track record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong understanding of international medical education trends.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly Salary: USD $3,000 – $5,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
  • Free Accommodation provided.
  • Round-trip Flight Ticket provided at the start and end of the contract.
  • 30 Days Annual Paid Leave per contract year.
  • 2-Year Renewable Contract with potential for extension based on performance.
  • Visa Security Fee: USD $600 (paid upfront by the candidate and fully refundable upon completion of the contract).
