Job Summary:

As an Acupuncturist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering holistic, patient-centered care while integrating traditional Chinese and/or Indian herbal medicine (Ayurveda) with modern healthcare practices. Your responsibilities will include providing acupuncture, herbal medicine consultations, and other therapeutic interventions, while developing operational protocols, supporting marketing efforts, mentoring team members, and contributing to innovative therapies such as red-light therapy and IV therapy. This role requires a licensed acupuncturist with expertise in traditional herbal medicine and a commitment to promoting optimal health outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administer Acupuncture Treatments: Deliver acupuncture treatments to manage pain, alleviate symptoms, and support chronic condition management, ensuring adherence to safety and comfort standards.
  2. Traditional Herbal Medicine Consultations: Conduct in-depth consultations to create and implement personalized treatment plans using traditional Chinese herbal medicine or Ayurvedic principles tailored to individual patient needs and health goals.
  3. Support Innovative Therapies: Assist in integrating and implementing advanced therapies, including red light therapy and IV therapy, ensuring their safe and effective application.
  4. Cupping Therapy: Deliver cupping therapy sessions as part of a holistic care plan to promote relaxation, reduce pain, and improve circulation.
  5. Integrative Consultations: Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to deliver joint consultations that integrate traditional Chinese medicine and/or Ayurveda with conventional healthcare practices.

  1. Promote and Sell Products: Recommend and sell herbal supplements, therapies, and other products associated with treatments, ensuring they align with patient care plans and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  2. Workshops and Training: Design and lead workshops and training sessions for patients and staff, promoting awareness of the benefits and applications of traditional herbal medicine, acupuncture, and complementary therapies.
  3. Evaluate Treatment Outcomes: Continuously assess the effectiveness of therapies and adjust treatment plans using evidence-based practices and traditional medicine principles to achieve optimal results.
  4. Supervision and Team Support: Provide mentorship and supervision to complementary therapy staff, ensuring professional development and high standards of care.
  5. Develop Policies and Procedures: Create and implement standard operating policies and procedures (SOPs) for the delivery of complementary therapies, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with healthcare standards.
  6. Work with Marketing Team: Partner with the marketing team to increase awareness and profitability of services by creating informative content, participating in promotional campaigns, and showcasing the benefits of integrative therapies.
  7. Clinic Operations: Contribute to clinic workflow optimization, team discussions, and

service improvements to enhance patient care delivery.

  1. Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate client records, scheduling appointments, and preparing materials.
  2. Collaboration and Coordination: Participating in team meetings, coordinating care

with other providers, and making referrals.

  • Community Engagement: Representing the organization at events, conducting outreach, and building community partnerships.
  • Professional Development: Attending training sessions, staying updated on best

practices, and participating in peer reviews.

  1. Program Support: Assisting in developing and evaluating wellness initiatives and supporting research activities.

Person Specification:

  1. Licensed Acupuncturist with valid certification and a strong clinical background (desirable).
  2. Degree or diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) or Acupuncture from an accredited institution
  3. Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering complementary therapies or holistic medicine.
  4. Expertise in traditional Chinese herbal medicine and/or Ayurveda, including the preparation and administration of herbal treatments.
  5. Familiarity with advanced therapies, such as red-light therapy and IV therapy is desirable
  6. Previous experience in supervising and mentoring staff within complementary or holistic therapy disciplines.
  7. Strong knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and/or Ayurvedic principles and their practical application in patient care.
  8. Exceptional communication and teaching skills, with the ability to educate patients and staff effectively.
  9. Proven ability to create and implement SOPs to maintain high-quality service delivery.
  10. Analytical and results-oriented approach, focused on evaluating and improving treatment outcomes.
  11. Collaborative team player, committed to providing integrative, patient-centered care.
  12. Leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support, and develop team members.
  13. Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote health services and increase awareness.
  14. Ability to collaborate on campaigns to enhance service profitability and patient engagement.

Salary and Benefits:

Annual Gross Salary starting at BMD$72,800

    • Bermuda Work Permit Fees covered by Employer

Contract Terms:

    • Two-year contract with a provision for extension

Start Date:

    • 3 months depending on Bermuda Work Permit Processing time.

Relocation Package:

    • Relocation & Repatriation: Flight ticket provided.
    • Health Insurance: Employer covers 50% of premiums.
    • Housing: First three months of accommodation provided.
